Margaret Conroy

Margaret "Peggie" Conroy, 61 of Stoneham, formerly of Somerville died Saturday March 19, at the Winchester Hospital. Born in Somerville July 15, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Collum) O'Neill.

Peggie was a graduate of St. Mary High School in Cambridge. She had been a resident of Stoneham for the past 23 years, and was a member of St. Patrick Parish. Peggie was currently working as a Guidance Secretary for Winchester High School. She was also an avid Red Sox fan.

Peggie was the wife of Peter F. Conroy and the mother of Peter O. Conroy, Shannon T. Conroy and Kelli F. Conroy, all of Stoneham. She was the daughter of the late Walter H. and Mary T. (Collum) O'Neill. She was the sister of Arthur O'Neill and wife Joan of Swampscott, Patricia Scott and husband Robert of Hampton, NH, Theresa Janetatos and husband John of Brooklyn, NY, Jean O'Neill and husband John Malone of Wakefield, Barbara Mattos and husband Stephen of Burlington, and Walter O'Neill and wife Marlene of Wilmington.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Tuesday at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 9 o'clock. A period of visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday 4-8 p.m.

Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701
