Margaret Moore

Margaret H . "Peg" Moore , 87, a lifelong Wakefield resident died on Tuesday, May 7 at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester.

Born in Wakefield on February 6, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John Jr. and Rose (Fox) Findlay.

Mrs. Moore was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1944. She was a retired manager for the Russell Badge Company in Wakefield. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Greenwood Union Church in Wakefield for almost 80 years and a charter member of the Harmony Wheel of the Greenwood Union Church. Past member of the Wakefield Mother's Club and the Wakefield Historical Society.

She was the wife of the late Winston Moore . Mrs. Moore is survived by her two daughters; Cynthia J. Moore of Wakefield and Janice G. Doren of Reading, her son Wayne Moore and his wife Maureen of Wakefield, her two sisters; Geraldine Russell of Wakefield and Charlotte Jonkers of Wake Forest, her three grandchildren; Eric Doren and his wife Andrea, Julie Martineau and her husband Christopher and Shaun Moore . She is also survived by her 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Moore was predeceased by her brother John Findlay and her two sisters; Katherine Cheney and Elizabeth "Betty" Findlay.

Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 10:30am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4-7pm. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
