Margaret K . Egan of Wakefield, age 86 of Wakefield died Saturday October 16. Born in Woburn on March 18, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Harold A. & Mary M. (Coyne) McMann. Mrs. Egan was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School and later from Saint Catherine School of Nursing. She later lived in New Hampshire for many years before returning to Wakefield. She was an active member of St. Joseph Church and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

Mrs. Egan was the wife of the late John S. Egan . She is survived by her two daughters, Alice M. DiCenzo and here husband Frank of Woburn and Martha A. Fitton of NH. Her four sons, Paul F. Egan & wife Patricia of Wakefield, David M. Egan of CA, John A. Egan and wife Linda of Reading and Mark T. Egan and wife Candice of NH. She was the sister of Florence Callahan of Billerica and is also survived by her 12 grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Tuesday at 10:30AM to be followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 11:30. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 PM. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery Stoneham.
