Margaret M . Barry , 88, formerly of Stoneham, died at the Villa Siena Senior Living Community, Mountain View, CA, on Friday, October 19th.

Born in Boston on February 12, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Shinners) Bacon.

Mrs. Barry was raised in the Dorchester section of Boston and was a graduate of Girls' Latin School in Boston. Margaret also graduated from the Massachusetts General Hospital's School of Nursing and had worked as a Registered Nurse.

Mrs. Barry was the wife of the late Dr. John J. Barry . She was the mother of John J. Barry , III and his wife Elizabeth Biggart of Stanford, CA, Alice Carberry and her husband David of Consecon, Ontario and Nikki Barry and her partner Kim Schoen of Pacifica, CA. She was the sister of the late Alice Kelly, Ann Spellenberg and Betty Estlick. Margaret is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald – Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St. in Stoneham on Sunday at 6:00 P.M. A period of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday prior to the service from 3 – 6 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations be sent to, Villa Siena Senior Living Community 1855 Miramonte Avenue Mountain View, CA

Interment will be at the VA National Cemetery of Massachusetts in Bourne on Monday at 11:30 a.m.
