Margaret Manita

Margaret M . Manita , 83 of Reading died Tuesday December 18 at her home. Born in Boston on March 10, 1929 the son of the late James and Margaret (Feeney) Preston. Mrs. Manita was raised in Wilmington and was a graduate of Wilmington High School and later from the Katherine Gibbs School. She had worked for the H.P. Hood Company and later retired from Family Service Association of Boston. In retirement she enjoyed spending her summers in Plymouth, NH and winters in Lauderdale By The Sea, FL. Mrs. Manita was the wife of the late Richard L. Keeler and John Manita . She is survived by her daughter Kathleen M . Welsh and her husband John of Reading. She was the sister of Lucy Joan Sullivan of NC and the late James F. Preston, Jr.. She was the grandmother of Nicholas Carbone, Sharon LeBruen and Christine Welsh. She was also the great grandmother of Molly, Jake, Eva, Maddie and Gabby. Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Saturday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave. Wakefield at 10:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday 4-8pm. Interment will be at Charles Lawn Cemetery in Reading. Memorial contributions may be made to the James F.
