Marian Spang, 87, a lifelong Wakefield resident died on Tuesday, February 26 at the EPOCH of Melrose.
Born in Malden on August 13, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Crowley) Casey.
Mrs. Spang was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1943 and Colby Junior College. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield.
Mrs. Spang was the wife of the late Paul R. Spang. She is survived by her son Paul R. Spang, Jr. of Stoneham, her two daughters; MaryAnn Maguire and her husband Tom and Susan Callaghan and her husband Paul all of Wakefield and her five grandchildren; Thomas and Caroline Maguire and Jessica, Paul and Brian Callaghan. Mrs. Spang is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three sisters; Rita Casey, Gertrude Casey and Dorothy Conway.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Winchester.
