Marie T. DeCristoforo, 87, of Wakefield died on Tuesday, August 17.
Born in Fort Myers, FL in 1922, she was a graduate of Florida State University and Simmons College. She was a retired Department Chairperson of Home Economics at Wakefield High School and taught there for over 30 years. She was also a member of the Massachusetts Teacher's Association.
Mrs. DeCristoforo was the wife of the late Alfred DeCristoforo. She was the mother of Ronald DeCristoforo of Wakefield, Michael DeCristoforo and his wife Patrice of Peabody and Deborah DeCristoforo of Saugus, and mother-in-law of Maryann Lowry of Wakefield. She was the sister of Lucy Lasek, Rose Pacelli, Amelia Castenir, and Ann Palmer all of Florida. She was the grandmother of Jason, Michael, Chrissy, Mark, and Jenna. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be celebrated in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave, Wakefield on Saturday, September 11 at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave, Wakefield, MA 01880 in memory of Marie, or to a charity of your choice.
