Marie Mastrangelo

Marie E. (Denisi) Mastrangelo, 82, of Saugus and formerly of Wakefield and Revere, died Sunday, February 23.

Born in Boston on October 5, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Albert and Carmela (DiPietro) Denisi.

Mrs. Mastrangelo was raised in Boston's North End and was a cum laude, graduate of Northeastern University. She had worked for MIT, FEMA, Travelers Insurance Company, and for the Town of Wakefield, Town Hall. She was an avid Bingo player and had coached in the Revere Youth Basketball League.

Mrs. Mastrangelo was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Mastrangelo. She was the loving mother of Rena M. Angle of Oregon, Anthony R. Mastrangelo of Georgetown and Frank A. Mastrangelo of Shirley. She was the sister of Frank and Antoinette Denisi, Ellie DiCicco and the late John, Victoria, Vincenza and Josephine. She is survived by her four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also surived by many loving family members and friends.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave. Wakefield at 10:00 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8pm.
