Marie Volpe

Marie J. Volpe, age 89 of Reading and formerly of Wakefield and Stoneham, died December 12 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center after a long period of failing health.

She was born in Wakefield, MA on July 30, 1928 and was the beloved daughter of the late Nicholas A. and Lena M. (Carbone) Frenzo. She was raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School. She worked for many years in the shoe manufacturing industry.

Marie was the beloved wife of the late Ridento Volpe. She was also the loving sister of the late Paul Frenzo, Fred Frenzo, Nicholas A. Frenzo and Louise Bryant. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St. Wakefield on Tuesday December 19 at 10:00. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home.
