Marion O'Meara, 77, of Stoneham formerly of Arlington died on Tuesday, March 22 at her home.
Born in Norwood on April 9, 1933 she was the daughter of the late William and Irene (Butler) Morrissey.
Mrs. O'Meara was a graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1951. She had been a Stoneham resident for 10 years and was a longtime Arlington resident prior to moving to Stoneham. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Stoneham and a former member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Arlington.
Mrs. O'Meara was the wife of the late Morgan O'Meara. She was the mother of Sheila McGovern and her husband Gerard of North Reading, Eileen Lowell and her husband Robert of Stoneham and the late Timothy O'Meara. She was sister of Marie Polovitch of Norwood and the late Robert, William and Claire Morrissey and Ann Boultenhouse. She was the grandmother of Ryan and Elizabeth McGovern and Brendan and Courtney Lowell.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 o'clock. A period of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
