Marjorie Gagner

Marjorie A . Gagner (Clancy) 79 of Lynnfield, Died Friday, December 12 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Lynn on December 24, 1928 she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Margaret (Beaupre) Clancy.

Mrs. Gagner had been a Lynnfield resident for the past 48 years. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Lynn, Class of 1946. Mrs. Gagner had worked for many years as an executive secretary for Raytheon and Sullivan & Cogliano and was a certified graphoanalyst. She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church in Lynnfield and a former member of the Ladies Sodality. Her hobbies included reading, playing piano, sailing, communicating with friends and family by e-mail and surfing the web.

Mrs. Gagner is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years Philip L. Gagner , her two daughters; Marjorie Hicks and her husband Alan of Westford, Christine Gagner (Chris Logan) of Franklin, TN, her son Philip A . Gagner and his wife Sylvia (Dutcher) of Vienna, VA, her sister Joanne Songalewski of Michigan and her grandson Andrew Hicks of Somerville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her best friend Evelyn Nelson. Mrs. Gagner was predeceased by her sister Marilyn Gentleman and her brother William Clancy.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St, Lynnfield at 10 AM. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
