Mark Curran

Mark P . "Marky" Curran , age 56, of Peabody, formerly of Wakefield, died Wednesday, June 12 at the Salem Hospital.

Born in Melrose on October 1, 1962 he was the son of the late Charles C. and Kathryn "Jean" (Cassidy) Curran .

He loved food, especially his birthday dinners at the Clam Box or Beach Plum. He would eat macaroni for supper every night if his parents let him. He loved to sing, but most especially, Mark loved spending time with his family on holidays.

Curran and his wife Catherine of Danvers, and Diane L. Yamartino and her husband Jim of FL; his sister-in-law, Eileen Curran of Wakefield and his uncle Richie Curran of Stoneham; as well as 21 nieces and nephews, and 36 great grand nieces and nephews and many cousins. In addition to his parents, Mark is predeceased by his brother Charles C. "Chuck" Curran , Jr. and his nephew Brian Palmerino.

Mark also leaves behind his roommates, Jeffrey and Michael and his "couch buddy" Bruce, all from his Lincoln Road group home; as well as his classmates, Cheryl, Erica, and Mark from his day program, Shore Collaborative. The family wishes to express gratitude to Gerald and Serena from his group home and his lifelong friend and neighbor, Theresa Doody O'Brien who never missed Mark's birthday. They also want to thankfully acknowledge the countless care givers and staff who cared for Mark throughout his life.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., STONEHAM on Wednesday from 10am-12pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 12pm. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
