Martha A. Falabella, 80, of Wakefield resident died Thursday, March 12 at her residence.

Born in Wakefield on July 1, 1928 she was the daughter of the late John and Martha (Rimkus) Garbenis.

Mrs. Falabella was raised and educated in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She was a member of Saint Florence Church and was also a member of the Sodality of Saint Florence. She enjoyed artistry and painting.

Mrs. Falabella is survived by her husband Benjamin Falabella . Five sons, Benjamin Falabella of Winchester, Mark Falabella of Pepperell, Peter Falabella of Ipswich, Steven Falabella of Livermore, CA and David Falabella of Merritt Island, FL. and her daughter Rosanna Falabella of Hayward, CA. She was the sister of Victor Garbenis of Haverhill and the late Edmund, James and John Garbenis. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, James Christine, Tom, Beth, Lauren, Paul, Tess, Drew and Nico.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave.Wakefield on Tuesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave, Wakefield at 10:00. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
