Martin Donahue

Martin W . Donahue , 93, of Wakefield, formerly of Chelsea, died on Tuesday, October 11 at Sunrise of Lynnfield.

Born in Chelsea on October 30, 1917 he was the son of the late Bartley and Catherine (McDonough) Donahue .

Mr. Donahue was a graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1937 and an Army veteran of World War II. He received his bachelor of science in business administration and master of arts in education degrees from Suffolk University. He earned a master in business administration degree from Boston College where he had done advanced graduate study toward a doctoral in Economics. He also received a juris doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School and had done graduate work at Salem State College.

Mr. Donahue was a professor of management and business law at Suffolk University and had been a member of the faculty since 1956. He had published many articles including the "The History of Administrative Law in Massachusetts (1629-1932)," in the Journal of Legal History, Kings, College, London, England, the "History and Application of Chapter 11" for the North Atlantic Regional Business Law Review, and "Management Thought" and the Operation and Organization of a Small Business." He was also a member of the American Marketing Association and the Society for the Advancement of Management.

Mr. Donahue was the husband of the late Katherine M. (Hogarty) Donahue . He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Donahue was predeceased by 8 siblings.

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
