Mary V. Cerulo, 68, of Wakefield, died on Friday October 15 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born in Boston on February 18, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Josephine (McCormack) Amaral.

Mary was a graduate of Brighton High School. She had been a Wakefield resident for the past 45 years. Mary was a member of St. Joseph Church in Wakefield. She worked as an aide on the special needs bus in Wakefield.

Mary is survived by her husband Richard Cerulo, her six children; Richard M. Cerulo and his wife Tina of Chelmsford, David Cerulo, Suzanne Cerulo and her husband Mark Alexander, and Robert Cerulo and his wife Peggy and Peter Cerulo all of Wakefield, Steven Cerulo of Medford, her five grandchildren; Amanda Alexander, Joseph Cerulo, Tyler Moore, Jack Cerulo, and Joshua Cerulo, her brother Edward Amaral and his wife Mary of NJ and her three sisters; Marguerite McCormack of Wakefield, Carol Rowe of CT and Patty Saulnier and her husband Roger of AZ.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral mass in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St, Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
