Mary Donnarumma

Mary A. Donnarumma, 88, of Wakefield, formerly of East Boston, died Tuesday July 31, at the Wakefield Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Boston, May 2, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Martin and Anne Coolaghan.

Mary was a longtime resident of East Boston before moving to Wakefield 8 years ago. Mary enjoyed crocheting and made many blankets for the Soldiers Home in Chelsea.

Mary was the mother of Mario Donnarumma of East Boston, Mary Margherita and husband Frank of Wakefield, the late Norma Donnarumma, and Benjamin Donnarumma. She was the grandmother of Angela and Matthew Margherita of Wakefield, Cathy Marie Cucchiello of East Boston, Crystal Clemens of Rockland and the late Toni Marie Paolini.

A Funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday August 11, at 12 noon. A visitation period for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday morning prior to the service from 10 to noon.

Interment will be private.
