Mary E . Sullivan , 79, of Wakefield died on Wednesday January 26 in Melrose.

Born in Boston on April 12, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Daniel & Margaret (McIntyre) McEachern.

Mrs Sullivan was raised in Roxbury and was a graduate of St. Patrick High School in Roxbury. She had been a Wakefield resident for the past 47 years. She had worked at the Northeast Regional Vocational School and later retired from the New England Insurance Company of Boston. She was an active member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of the Ladies Guild at the church. She was also a volunteer for My Brothers Table and Reach to Recovery.

Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her beloved husband Paul F. Sullivan . She was the loving mother of Ann M. DiCicco and her husband Michael of Reading and Paul D. Sullivan and his wife Noreen of Carlsbad, CA. She was the sister of Gerald McEachern of Harwich and the late Donald & Frank McEachern, Marie DeLillo and Patricia McEachern. She was also the loving grandmother of Dennis, Michael & David DiCicco and Paul & Jack Sullivan .

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield, Monday at 11am followed by a funeral mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 12 noon. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday 1-5pm.
