Mary Ellen Thibodeau , 87, of Reading, formerly of Wakefield died on Wednesday, August 8 at the Epoch of Melrose.

Born in Phillipsburg, NJ on March 27, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (General) Moore.

Mary had been a resident of Phillipsburg, NJ for 48 years and was a graduate of St. Philip & St. James High School in Phillipsburg.

Mary was the wife of the late Robert F. Thibodeau . She was the mother of Robert F. Thibodeau Jr. and his wife Elaine of Wakefield, Michele T. Kelley and her husband David of No. Reading, Marie J. Croteau and her husband Josh of Tewksbury, and Anne E. Thibodeau and her companion Daniel of Plaistow, NH. She was the sister of Elizabeth Michalowski of CA, Kathleen Zanor of Everett and the late Joseph and Edward Moore, and Gladys Walker. She was the grandmother of Rosalie, Ivy, Evan, David, Christopher, and Brienne. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4-7 p.m.
