Mary Angelo

Mary "Gloria" Angelo, 88, of Peabody, formerly of Wakefield, died on Friday, July 6 at Brooksby Village in Peabody.

Born in Newburyport on June 6, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Mario and Anna Maria (Mirabile) Angelo.

Ms. Angelo was raised in Newburyport and Somerville. She had worked as a Secretary for the US Government.

Ms. Angelo had lived in Wakefield and Medford and had also spent time in Germany. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield

Ms. Angelo was the sister of "Sally" Rosaria Angelo of Peabody and the late Andrew and Anthony Angelo, Lena Gisone, Rose Abbruzzese, Grace Fortini and Phyllis Angelo. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 11 a.m. Visitation for relative and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday (today) from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
