Mary Howard

Mary J. Howard, 94, of Reading, formerly of Wakefield, died on Wednesday, March 18 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born in Wakefield on May 5, 1914 she was the daughter of the late James and Gertrude (Sliney) Paon.

Mrs. Howard was a life long Wakefield resident prior to moving to Reading. She was educated in the Wakefield Public Schools and was a member of St. Joseph parish in Wakefield. The most important thing in the world to her was her family.

Mrs. Howard was the wife of the late Francis G. Howard. Mother of Jack Howard of Reading, Maureen Wargo and her husband Fran and Karen Corcoran and her husband Lou all of Wakefield, Michael Howard and his wife Denise of Saugus and the late Paul Howard. Sister of Gertrude Paon of Wakefield. Grandmother of Karen Ryan, Frank, Kevin and Dawn Wargo and Dan and Chris Corcoran. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Saturday, Mar 28 at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Memorial contributions may be made to Peter Sanborn Pl., 40 Bay State Rd., Reading, MA, attn: Jackie Carson.
