Mary Jarema

Mary R, Jarema of Stoneham, formerly of Wakefield died Monday December 8th at age 89. Born in Sharpsburgh, PA on March 16, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Arthur & Marie (Eschman) Coleman. She was raised in Sharpsburgh and was a graduate of Sharpsburgh High School. She came to Wakefield in 1948 and was a member of Saint Joseph Church. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and was a volunteer at the Gift Sop at the hospital. She was a dedicated mother who enjoyed travel and was a "shopper extraordinaire".

Mrs. Jarema was the wife of the late Joseph M. Jarema. She was the mother John A. Jarema of Reading, Joan Santarlas of Narragansett, RI, Carol Grace of Wakefield, Linda Trimble of No.Andover and Lois Jarema of Wakefield. She was the grandmother of Anne, Cathy, Patricia, Christina, Michael, Theresa, Lisa, Dan, Tom, David & Kevin. She is also survived by her 7 great grandchildren and her dear friend Lois Adams of Stoneham.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Thursday at 9AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10:00. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday 4-8 PM. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery.
