Mary Macdonald

MacDonald, Mary J. 89, of Stoneham formerly of Wakefield, died Saturday, November 1 at her residence.

Born in Wakefield on April 21, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary J. (Creedon) Barry.

Mrs. MacDonald was a life long Wakefield resident. She was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1936. Mrs. MacDonald was a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield.

She was the wife of the late Herbert MacDonald. Mrs. MacDonald is survived by her 5 children; Richard Eaton and his wife Karen of Salinas, CA, Martha Hawkes and her husband Robert of Nashua, New Hampshire, Elizabeth "Betsy" Paquette and her husband Robert of Lowell, David MacDonald and his wife Linda of CA and Brian MacDonald and his wife Janice of VA. She was the sister of Margaret Derby of Longmeadow and Ruth Goode of Dorchester. Grandmother of Robert Paquette Jr., Barry Paquette, Gary Hawkes, Bethellen Ledoux, Linda Hawkes, Kim Eaton, Michael Eaton, Heather MacDonald, Kerry MacDonald, Aryn-Leah MacDonald, Cara MacDonald and Dana MacDonald. Also survived by 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. MacDonald was predeceased by her two sisters; June Mangone and Patsy Cardillo, her granddaughter Cheryl Hawkes and her grandson Robert Asuncion.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 10-11AM. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
