Mary Martin

Mary F. Martin, 91, of Stoneham formerly of Saugus and Reading died on Thursday, Aug. 20 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.

Born in Everett on July 8, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Richard and Gertrude (Cameron) Smith.

Mrs. Martin was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1936. She was a former member of St. Margaret Church in Saugus and the Ladies Sodality.

Mrs. Martin was the wife of the late Gerald W. Martin. She was the sister of Charles Smith of Plymouth, Lillian Haladay of Wakefield and Lorraine Holloran of CA. She was the aunt of Walter Nugent of Lynnfield, Joseph Nugent of Boxford and Andrea D'Innocenzo of Melrose and great aunt of Partick, James, Kelly, Trevor and Marisol, Cardio, Collin and Daniella Nugent and Shanley, Britney , Molly and Joseph D'Innocenzo.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield, Monday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave, Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday 2-4pm. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
