Mary O'Keefe

Mary L. O'Keefe, 93, a long time Wakefield resident died on Friday, Oct. 25 at the Nevins Family Care Center in Methuen.

Born in Melrose on April 9, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lucy M. (LeCorn) Saunders.

Mrs. O'Keefe was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She had worked for the Paul K. Guillow, Co. of Wakefield for many years and had been a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church.

Mrs. O'Keefe was the wife of the late Christopher J. O'Keefe. She was the mother of Christopher J. O'Keefe of Newburyport, Charles O'Keefe of Lynn and Caryn J. O'Keefe of Wakefield. She was the grandmother of Christopher, Leah & Connor O'Keefe. She was the sister of Lois LeBlanc of California and the late Alice Meuse, Eleanor Laning & Doris Forbes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, located on the corner of Main & Bryant Sts. in Wakefield on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave in Wakefield on Tuesday 4 – 8 P.M.

Interment will be at the Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
