Mary A. Orso, 88, of Wakefield died on Wednesday, December 15 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in East Boston on March 23, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Rose (Cappuccio) Molino.
Mrs. Orso was raised and educated in East Boston. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1961. Mrs. Orso had worked as a cashier at Winchester Hospital and retired in 1987.
She was a member of St. Joseph parish in Wakefield and the Sons of Italy in Wakefield.
Mrs. Orso was the wife of the late Anthony Orso. She is survived by her daughter Laurene Ford and her husband Roger of Wakefield, her son Dennis Orso and his wife JoAnn of Wilmington, two sisters, Theresa Molino of Sterling and Dorothy Tecce of Wakefield. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Angelo Molino and her two sisters Sophie Stewart and Anna DeDominicis.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A visitation for relatives and friend will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
