Mary Phillips

Mary R . Phillips , 73, a long time resident of Wakefield, passed away this past December in Acworth, GA where she had resided since 1999.

Mary was the daughter of the late Herbert and Rita Anderson.

She is survived by her husband Stephen and was predeceased by her daughter Denise. Mary was the oldest of seven children, survived by her siblings: Herbert, Charles and John all of Wakefield, Robert of Florida, and Esther White of Wakefield. Mary was predeceased by her brother Richard. Mary worked as a beautician for 40 years. Her hobbies included ceramics and lladro like figurines. Her special talent was needlepoint and she was active with the American Needlework Guild for over 30 years where she won several awards for her needlepoint pieces. She was also active in Wakefield arts and crafts.

Private services were held at the McDonald Funeral Home in Wakefield on Wednesday, June 5 followed by burial at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
