Mary Redding

Mary C. Redding, 91, of Stoneham, formerly of Wakefield, died on Friday, February 8 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield.

Born in Wakefield on May 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sophia (Pucko) Cambareri.

Mrs. Redding was a graduate of Wakefield High School and Mary Brooks Junior College in Boston. She had worked as a legal secretary in New York for many years. Mrs. Redding had been active in the Stoneham Bridge Groups and enjoyed traveling.

She was the wife of the late John Redding. She was the sister of Priscilla B. Stryke, and Dorothy E. Zarella both of Stoneham and the aunt of Karen Stryke of Woburn, Cheryl Watkins of No. Andover, and Pamela Sullivan and her husband James of Stoneham. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 12 p.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday morning prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
