OBITUARY



Mary E. Reynolds , 85 of Tewksbury and a former long time Stoneham resident died Monday October 1 in Boston after an illness of several months. Born in Rochester, PA on January 27, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Vincent & Anna Marie (Zingro) Scruci. Mrs. Reynolds was raised in Rochester and was a trained opera singer and had appeared in many musical theater productions. She studied music at Geneva College Western, PA, Theater Dance Music in New York City and the Peabody Conservatory of Music of Baltimore, MD. She performed at the Opera House of Vienna, Austria, the Mauretania Cruise Ship of the Queen Mary line for one year, the Shubert Theater of Boston and the Water Follies in the 1950's and went by the stage name of Mary Dane.

Mrs. Reynolds was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Gordon W. Reynolds. She is survived be her three sons, James, Jeffrey John and Joseph Reynolds and her daughter Linda Reynolds and their families. She was the sister of Norma Pronesti and Vincent Scruci of PA and the late Francis "Buddy" Scruci. She was the loving grandmother of Melissa, James, Christopher, Matthew, Jeffrey, Sabrina, Jordan, Ashley, Taylor and Ana.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald –Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham on Friday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home Thursday 4-8pm. Interment, Lindenwood Cemetery.
