Mary (Colwell-Flanagan) Ricucci was born in Cambridge, MA in 1924 and raised in Wakefield, MA. Mary graduated from St. Joseph's School, Wakefield High School and Salem Teachers College (Salem State).
Mary travelled extensively with her military first husband Ray Flanagan, being stationed as far away as Eritrea. After Ray's untimely death in 1960, Mary returned to Massachusetts.
She met and married Dominic Ricucci in 1972. Mary and Dom also travelled extensively, living in North Reading and Boxford, MA, Ogunquit, ME and Florida. She and Dom loved golfing and spending time with their cherished family and friends.
Mary worked for many years as a Program Analyst at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA - retiring in 1984.
Mary was a devout Catholic and an active member of her local parish - wherever she was living. She particularly enjoyed the Sunday Mass at St. Paul National Catholic Church in Belleview, FL. Mary returned to Massachusetts in 2019 and was most recently living in Burlington.
She is survived by her stepdaughter Audrey Christina Ricucci , grandson Christopher Richardson, brother Paul, brother-in-law Lyle Rousseau, sisters-in-law Marion and Becky and many treasured nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, K. Raymond Flannagan and her second husband Dominic Ricucci , her parents, M. Edward and Emma (Cormier) and her siblings: William, Irene (Rousseau), Edward and Joseph.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 173 Albion Street, Wakefield, on Thursday December 2, 2021, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at a later date.
