Mary Robey

Mary Grace (Nunn) Robey 95, of Lynnfield, passed away peacefully with her son by her side, Tuesday March 15th at Beverly Hospital, following a brief illness. She was the wife of Edwin Robey who predeceased her in 1970.

Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Robert Roy and Mary Grace (Gifford) Nunn. She was raised and educated in Chelsea graduating Valedictorian of her class and has lived in Lynnfield as a homemaker/grandmother for the past 59 years.

Mary Grace was employed by Jordan Marsh in Boston as Head of the Payroll Department where she also met her husband Edwin.

As a child she often traveled to visit family on Nunn Road in Summerville, Nova Scotia. At the time of her death she was working toward writing a book about her life.

She is survived by her son Keith E. Robey of Lynnfield, her brother, Robert E. Nunn of Lynn, and by her beloved grandchildren, Mitchell K. Robey and Christopher E. Robey . She was predeceased by her brothers Ralph, Wilfred and James Nunn, and 9 half sisters.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 23rd from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Avenue, Wakefield, Massachusetts to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers or donations please place an Easter Lily on a relative's grave as Mary Grace has done for her mother for many years.
