Mary Lyons

Mary T . (Vaughan) Lyons , 95, of Lynnfield died on Saturday, April 28 at her home.

Born in Boston on October 12, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Margaret (Fitzpatrick) Vaughan.

Mrs. Lyons was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Dorchester High School. She had been a Lynnfield resident since 1958 and was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church.

Mrs. Lyons was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Lyons . She was the loving mother of Patricia A. Bennett of Stoneham and the late Thomas F. and Maureen T . Lyons . She was the sister of Patricia Caruso and her husband Jim of Watertown, Evelyn Butler of Dorchester, Anna Kenney of Braintree and the late Maurice, Francis, John, Catherine, Helen and Josephine . She is also survived by her beloved granddaughter and best friend Kelsey M. Bennett of Stoneham.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St,. Lynnfield at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm. Interment will be at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree.
