Mary Thompson

Mary A. Thompson, 88, of Wakefield died Monday, May 4th at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody.

Born in Presque Isle, Maine on May 13, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Levi and Gertrude Guimond.

Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of Presque Isle High School in Maine. She was a member of the Wakefield Council on Aging and St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield.

Mrs. Thompson was the wife of the late John D. Thompson. She is survived by her three children; Daniel Thompson and his wife Elizabeth of Topsfield, Dennis Thompson and Deborah Thompson both of Wakefield. She is also survived by her two grandchildren; Riley and Logan Thompson.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St, Wakefield on Thursday at 1pm. Relatives and friends may call at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield prior to the mass starting at 10:30am. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave, Boston, MA 02115.
