Mary Yianacopolus

Mary Ann Rafferty Yianacopolus of Stoneham passed away at the age of 81 at Lexington Care One on Sunday March 15th, 2020.

Born on March 14, 1939 in Winchester, Mary is the loving daughter of the late James and Lillian (Stout)Rafferty of Stoneham, MA and sister to Joan Bemis, Kevin Rafferty, and the late James Rafferty.

Mary was a kind and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and a friend to many.

Mary attended St. Patrick's School and went on to graduate from Stoneham High School in 1956.

Mary was well known around the community and was very proud of her position as a traffic director for over 20 years.

Mary enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports throughout the years.

Mary was the beloved wife of Louis Yianacopolus. She was the devoted mother of Glenn Yianacopolus and his wife Valerie, Neil Yianacopolus and his wife Denise, Paul Yianacopolus and his wife Kimberly, and Kevin Yianacopolus and his wife Doreen. She was the loving "YiaYia" to Bo and Clay, Kayla and Keli, Samantha, Matthew, Jessica, Alexa, and Michael, and Tyler, Julia, Caroline and Meghan.

A private funeral mass for immediate family only will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church in Stoneham.
