Mary Ann "Nan" Dipiero

Mary Ann "Nan" DiPiero, 64, of Wakefield, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Thursday March 18.

Born in Scotland on November 3, 1944, she was the daughter of Mary (Matherson) MacLennan and the late William MacLennan.

Mrs. DiPiero was raised in Scotland and had been a flight attendant for several major airlines. She had also worked as a Pastry Chef for the Queen Mother of England. She had lived in Africa for seven years where she met her husband Alan. She had moved to the Middle East and eventually came to the U.S. settling in Wakefield and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Mrs. DiPiero belonged to many boating clubs, including Pleasant Park Yacht Club, Orient Heights Yacht Club, Charles Gate Yacht Club and in Florida the Coral Ridge Yacht Club. She was also a member of the Women's Auxillary, Red Hat Society, British Women's Club and the Retired Flight Attendants Association.

Mrs. DiPiero was the wife of Alan DiPiero. Sister of Murdo MacLennan of Scotland and sister In-Law of Robert and Anthony DiPiero and Roselyn Milero. She was also the aunt of Valerie & Marissa MacLennan, Gary, Mark & Steven DiPiero, Michael & Richard Milero and baby Lauren. She also leaves many close friends in the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area.

Funeral service in the First Parish Congregational Church 1 Church St. Wakefield Monday March 23 at 11:00. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield. Visitation at the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield will be Sunday 2- 5 PM.
