Maurice Rice

Maurice J . "Jim" Rice , 77, of Stoneham died on Tuesday, Aug. 2 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Woburn on December 5, 1933 he was the son of the late Maurice J . and Kathleen (McCall) Rice .

Mr. Rice was a life long resident of Stoneham and a graduate of Stoneham High School. He had retired from the Custodial Department for the Town of Stoneham School Department.

Mr. Rice was the husband of Ann T. (Folger) Rice . He was the father of Kathleen Craven of Malden, Joan Marie Santos and the late James Rice . He was the brother-in-law of Peter Folger, Thomas Folger and Eileen Dineen. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Monday beginning at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
