Maurice Rice

Maurice J. "Jim" Rice, 77, of Stoneham died on Tuesday, Aug. 2 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Woburn on December 5, 1933 he was the son of the late Maurice J. and Kathleen (McCall) Rice.

Mr. Rice was a life long resident of Stoneham and a graduate of Stoneham High School. He had retired from the Custodial Department for the Town of Stoneham School Department.

Mr. Rice was the husband of Ann T. (Folger) Rice. He was the father of Kathleen Craven of Malden, Joan Marie Santos and the late James Rice. He was the brother-in-law of Peter Folger, Thomas Folger and Eileen Dineen. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Monday beginning at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
