Michael Noska

Michael Noska , 71, of Stoneham, passed away on February 7, 2022, with his daughters by his side.
Michael was born on August 28, 1950 in Boston, Massachusetts. Son of the late John and Anna (Marshall) Noska , he was the loving husband of the late Susan A. Noska with whom he spent 42 years of marriage.
Michael is survived by his two daughters, Michelle Noska and her partner Keith Gaffney of Wakefield, Nicole Noska and her wife Karen Rowe of Dracut, and his grandson, Michael John Rowe. He also leaves behind his five siblings, John Noska and his wife Kathy of Whitman, Robert Noska and his wife Heather of Stoneham, Ann Noska Cullity of Danvers, Clare Short and her husband Michael of Billerica, and Janet Scanlan and her husband Joseph of Tewksbury. Michael also leaves his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Born and raised in Charlestown, Michael was a 1968 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Cambridge. He was on his way to a professional baseball career when his love for learning drove him to his calling; to be a physical education teacher. In 1971, almost finished with college, Michael met the love of his life, Susan, while working a job at Massachusetts General Hospital. A whirlwind romance started. In the summer of 1972, a few months after he earned his Bachelor's degree in Science and Education from Boston State College, he married Susan.
Working alternating days and nights to raise their two daughters, a catastrophic car accident changed the course of his life. Yet his determination to care and provide for his family was fierce, and he did so until the day he died.
Michael will be remembered for his never give up or give in attitude, sharp wit, dry sense of humor, intelligence, music and whistling until it drove you crazy enough to yell from the other room for him to stop, and his love of cooking and mastering a recipe until he got it just right. He loved road trips with Susan, hanging out with their cats near a window while they sat on his lap and let the sunshine pour over them, and spending Sunday afternoons playing backgammon. He enjoyed spending time with his family at his camp on Ossipee Lake. Most of all, he loved making memories and making everyone he met feel special. When you met Michael , you wanted to stop and chat with him. You knew he was listening with his whole heart and always had the best advice to give.
