Michael Pirrello

Michael A. Pirrello, 88, of Buzzards Bay formerly of Somerville died on Saturday, January 5 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born in Boston on April 15, 1924 he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Mazzola) Pirrello.

Mr. Pirrello was raised in East Boston and had attened Brighton High School. He was a long time Somerville resident and had been a resident of Buzzards Bay for the past 25 years. Mr. Pirrello was the retired owner of M.A. Pirrello Contracting. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Bourne and was a World War II Navy Veteran. Mr. Pirrello enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Ciriello) Pirrello. Loving father of Jeanne A. Hudd & her husband Ron of Lynnfield, Michael A. Pirrello, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Wakefield, Janet Pirrello of Saugus and the late Sharon Pirrello. Brother of Christopher Pirrello of Medford, Mary McKenna of Florida, Betty DiPrimio of Chelmsford & Helen Sigouin of Revere & the late Philip Pirrello. Grandfather of Kerith LaRosee, Daniel & Ryan Hudd, Michael Pirrello, III, Stephen Pirrello & Katelyn Pirrello. Great grandfather of Andrew, Gabriella, Ryan, Anna & Michael, IV.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Thursday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1055 Main St. Wakefield at 10:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
