Michelle R. DiGangi, 46, of Lynnfield died on Tuesday, October 21 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Staten Island, New York she was the daughter of George Waters of Florida and the late Maureen (White) Waters.
Michelle was a graduate of Mepham High School, Class of 1986 and St. Vincent School of Nursing in New York. She had been a Lynnfield resident for the past 14 years. Michelle was a Registered Nurse at St. Vincent Hospital in New York and most recent at Union Hospital in Lynn.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband Steven DiGangi, her three children; Jessica DiGangi, Jack DiGangi, and Brian DiGangi, her two brothers; George Waters and Michael Waters and his wife Nadja, and her sister Keri Cohen and her husband Scott all of New York.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, corner of Grove and Salem Sts., Lynnfield on Saturday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday from 4 to 8pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michelle's name to the Dana Faber Cancer Institute, (In memo: Dr. David Reardon), 10 Brookline Place, W. Brookline, MA 02445.
