Mildred Mcmanuis

Mildred B. McManuis, 96 of Wakefield died Thursday, August 20 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Somerville on July 6, 1913 she was the daughter of the late Harold and Bertha L. (Day) Dillon.

Mrs. McManuis was a life long Wakefield resident. She was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1931. Mrs. McManuis was a retired secretary for Winship Boit in Wakefield and was a member of the Wakefield Chapter of the Grange.

She was the wife of the late Frank McManuis. Mrs. McManuis is survived by her daughter Margaret Thurston and her husband Bud of Wakefield and her son Richard "Dick" McManuis of Foxboro and his fiancée Nancy Antico. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren; Tammy Page, Brian Thurston, Rachel Turner and Jeffrey McManuis and her 4 great grandchildren; Amanda Lee Page, Allison Margaret Page, Cameron Thurston and Mason Turner. Mrs. McManuis was predeceased by her three brothers; Elmer Dillon, Robert Dillon and Herbert Dillon.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Tuesday at 11am. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8pm. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
