Milton G. Green, age 61, of Stoneham, after a long fight with cancer, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024 surrounded by his family.
He was born in Jamaica on October 11, 1963 and was the son of Immelda Green and the late Clarence Green.
Milton was born and raised in Jamaica and had made the United States his home in 1975. He attended Boston English School and Wentworth Institute of Technology where he earned a degree in Electronic Engineering. Over the years, Milton worked for IBM, State Street Bank, Sanofie, and was serving as a project manager for the MWRA at the time of his passing.
Milton was a HAM radio operator and electronics enthusiast. He authored a book about his experiences as a landlord and took pride in caring for his yard and beautiful lawn. He cherished his role as the center of family gatherings.
He would tell true and funny family stories of the past that made us buckle with laughter. His warm and loving smile reflected the love he had for everyone, and everyone loved him. He was ready to help anyone in need, and always took time to listen to others with their problems.
Milton loved the Lord dearly. He would spend hours speaking of the Lord and his salvation. God’s love and spiritual matters were his favorite topic. He spoke of the dreams he had after praying and seeking the Lord to help a family member or friend. Prior to the death of his brother’s son Joshua of nine years old, who also died of cancer, he spent hours alone praying and reading his bible and asking the Lord for healing for Joshua. He was greatly concerned about the souls of his family and friends, and was constantly trying to win souls for the Lord, especially within his family.
He was the beloved husband of Patricia Green. He was the loving father of Christian B. Green and Nicholas Green, both of Stoneham. He was the brother of Orville Moiten of Dorchester, Lenworth Green of Germany, Norman Green of Rhode Island, Keith Green of Texas, and Christopher Green of Framingham.
His funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Wednesday, November 13 at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Tuesday, November 12 from 5-7pm. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
