Mr. Gerald Adams

Gerald J. Adams, 78, a long time resident of Wakefield, died Tuesday, February 11 at the Genesis at Wakefield.

Born in Melrose on August 7, 1935, he was the son of the late Arnold H. and Marie (Amodeo) Adams.

Mr. Adams was a graduate of Melrose High School and had been a resident of Wakefield for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Florence Parish. He had worked as a plasterer for 38 years with Pastan Construction of Marblehead. He enjoyed being outdoors, woodworking, and loved his time spent in Fort Lauderdale.

Mr. Adams was the beloved husband of Dora (Palmerino) Adams for the past 58 years. He was the loving father of Sharon J. Touchette and her husband Phillip of Wakefield and Lori S. McFadden and her husband Brian of West Newbury. He was the brother of Herbert Adams of Tennessee, Katherine Lynn of New Hampshire, Robert Adams of Tewksbury, and John LeFave of Paxton. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Andrew, Bradley, Danielle, and Gregory and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 10am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 11 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday from 3 to 7 pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
