Mr. Robert Reilly

Robert V . Reilly , 91 of Stoneham. Formerly of Somerville, died Saturday May 9th at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Boston on October 9, 1923, he was the son of the late Michael and Margaret (Conroy) Reilly .

Robert was raised in Somerville and Charlestown and was educated in the Somerville Public School System. He proudly served his country in the Navy during WWII. He was a Stoneham resident since 2002, and a retired repairman for the MBTA. Robert was an avid reader, walker and had a love for music and musical theater. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Robert was the Beloved husband of Eleanor M. Reilly (Irons). He was the loving father of Robert J. Reilly and wife Lesley of Florida, John E. Reilly and late wife Beverly Reilly of Wakefield, Christine M. Carco and husband John of Peabody, Susan Falasca and husband Frank of Peabody, and Frederick E. Reilly and wife Donna of Malden. He was brother of Margaret Reilly of Somerville, James Reilly of West Roxbury, and the late William and John Reilly . He was a devoted grandfather of 9 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Robert is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Wednesday at 9:00am followed by a funeral mass at St. Adelaide Church, 712 Lowell St., Peabody at 10:00am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
