Mary was married to the love of her life for 50 years. After high school, Mary worked in the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston. She stayed at home to raise her two girls and was the silent strength and support behind her husband when he started his own very successful plastics business, Plastic Compounders, Inc. of Haverhill, MA. She was a loving wife and mother, loyal friend, and family was always her first priority. Mary worked as a Traffic Supervisor for the Town of Wakefield crossing children safely to and from school and retired after 25 years. Mary made many friends that became extended family. She loved to send cards for any occasion to friends and family to "let them know someone was thinking of them" and postcards from all her trips with Bill. Mary said she came from "tough Irish stock" conquering cancer twice, heart surgery and CHF. She made the decision to move to Sandwich to be with her daughter Arleen and her family at the age of 90. Before moving from Wakefield, Mary was surprised with a 90th birthday party with over 75 guests in attendance. After moving to Sandwich, Mary kept in touch with friends and family with many hours on the phone, mailing cards for all occasions and happiest when receiving pictures and videos of her Great Grandchildren.
