Mrs. Mary Rose

Mary E . Rose , age 79 of Malden and formerly of Charlestown died on Sunday, December 6 in Winchester. She was born in Hingham, MA on December 8, 1935 and was the beloved daughter of the late James J and Marguerite (Sullivan) Mullen. Mrs . Rose was raised in Charlestown and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School of Somerville. She later worked for the former New England Telephone Company and served as a secretary, basketball coach and cheerleading coach at Charlestown High School. She later lived in Citrus Hills, Florida and worked in Real Estate Sales at Citrus Hills and also worked with Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile.

Mrs . Rose was the loving mother of Virginia Rose of Long Beach, CA, Michael Rose and his wife Bonnie and Patrick Rose all of Peabody, Kathleen Chiampi and husband Robert of Stoneham and Mary and Carolyn Rose of Boston. She was also the loving grandmother of Natasha and Nicholas Bradshaw, Jason and Craig Richardson, Nicole Rose and Robert and Renee Robichaud She was also the great grandmother of Logan, Lelaina, Sienna and Monroe. She is predeceased by her brothers James J. Mullen, Jr. and John Mullen and her sister Joan Farrell.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham on Friday at 10:00. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Mary's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 1893 Memphis, TN 38101-9950.
