Nancy L. (Kuhn) Igo of Wakefield, MA. Died on Thursday January 19, at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Born March 2, 1932 in Cambridge, MA. Raised in Arlington, MA. Attended Saint Agnes School in Arlington and graduated from Mt. Trinity Academy in Waltham, MA. Raised her 6 children in Peabody and Wakefield, MA. The daughter of the late Frederick and Anne (Leedam) Kuhn.
Mrs. Igo is predeceased by her husband, Robert Igo, her siblings Frederick Kuhn, Jr., Donald Kuhn, Mary Pettingell, Priscilla Owens, Stanley Kuhn, Patricia Kuhn and Richard Kuhn. She is survived by her six children and their spouses, Frederick and Anna Igo of Lynnfield, Catherine (Igo) and James Crawford of West Newbury, Paul and Kerry Igo of Sandwich, Patricia (Igo) and James Conroy of Groveland, and Diane (Igo) and Thomas Markham III of Wakefield and Kevin Igo of Wakefield and by her siblings Sally Commins of Arlington and Paul Kuhn of Malden and her best friend of sixty-four years, Jane Horsman of Lexington. Mrs. Igo was a loving and proud grandmother of Michael Igo of Andover, Kathleen (Igo) Lynch of North Andover, Rory Igo of Providence, RI and Jamie Crawford, Conor Crawford and Liam Crawford of West Newbury, Shannon Igo, Kelsey Igo and Michaela Igo of Sandwich, Caileigh Mack and Brenna Mack of Groveland, and Nora Markham and Thomas Markham IV of Wakefield, and great-grandmother of Graham Igo and Malcolm Igo of Andover and Audrey Lynch of North Andover.
Mrs. Igo worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Greenwood Nursing Home and for the Middlesex Visiting Nurse Association. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren with some of her favorite family times being spent at Revere Beach and York Beach.
Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave Wakefield, Tuesday at 10am followed by Funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1155 Main St, Wakefield at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends at the Funeral Home, Monday 4-8pm. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
