Nancy Smith

Nancy L . Smith , 81, of Stoneham formerly of Wakefield died on Saturday, December 10 at the Academy Manor Nursing Home in Andover.

Born in Melrose on February 16, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ruth (Turpin) Howe.

Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1947. She was a long time member and secretary at the First Baptist Church in Wakefield. Mrs. Smith had been a Wakefield resident for 48 years before moving to Stoneham in 2005.

She is survived by her husband Charles D. Smith , her two daughters; Margaret "Peggy" Busa of Harrison, ME and Christine Fallon of Bowling Greens, KY, her son Mark Smith of Stoneham and her brother Stanley E. Howe of Reading. Mrs. Smith is also survived by her four grandchildren; James and Tricia Busa and David and Rebbeca Fallon. She was predeceased by her grandson Robert Smith .

A memorial service will be held in the First Baptist Church, 8 Lafayette St, Wakefield on Saturday at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
