Nancy J. Marshall

Nancy Marshall, age 66 of Amesbury, passed away on Friday December 13 peacefully at her home. She was born in Boston on June 15, 1958 and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Barbara (Harol) Hunt.

Nancy grew up in Walpole with her four siblings and many cousins who she fondly shared stories of running around the neighborhood with. She later moved to Bennington, Vermont to attend college. There she made lifelong friendships, which they continued to celebrate together annually on a trip to Lake Ossipee. Following college she moved to Boston where her journey with her life partner Dan began. Throughout her life Nancy worked as a homemaker, caretaker and florist, which was true to her nature of wanting to care for people and make the world beautiful. She raised her three children on Cape Cod, close to the beach and ocean where she enjoyed visiting. In retirement Nancy enjoyed boating with her husband on Lake Ossipee, and visiting her children and grandchildren.

She was the beloved wife of Daniel J. Marshall. She was the loving mother of Daniel J. Marshall Jr., and his wife Laura of Oakdale, CT., Sean Marshall and his fiancé Kate of Australia, and Taylor Ballou and her husband Geoff of Hollis, ME. Nancy had two grandchildren that brought her great joy, Grace and Jack, who affectionately called her Gigi.

Her Funeral Service will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan-Anderson Funeral Home, 322 Main Street, Stoneham on Friday December 20 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
