Nancy Roberto

Nancy L. Roberto, 75, of Wakefield, died Tuesday, May 12 in Peabody. Born in Melrose on December 15, 1938 the daughter of the late Silver H. and Nancy (Dowd) Jackson.

Mrs. Roberto was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School and later from the Whidden Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Everett. She had worked in several hospitals and was a member of Saint Joseph Church and worked the polls for many elections in Wakefield.

Mrs. Roberto was the beloved wife of the late Michael A. Roberto, Jr. She was the loving mother of Kathleen Hancox and her husband Fred of Wilmington, Michael A. Roberto, III of Wakefield, Thomas A. Roberto and his wife Susan of Reading and Steven R. Roberto and his wife Jill of Wakefield. She was the grandmother of Tara, Alysha, James, Hannah and Nicole and the great grandmother of Raegan and Ryan. She is also survived by her two brothers Arthur and Russell Jackson and her sister Gail Kiburis.

Mrs. Roberto's funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 10:30 am followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 11:30. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-5pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
