Nancy M. Romano

Nancy M. Romano, age 87, of Stoneham, MA, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024. Born in Peabody, MA, on August 6, 1937, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Meneghetti) Garzone.

Nancy was predeceased by her loving husband, Eugene Joseph (Joe) Romano, and her dear brother, Peter Garzone.

A devout member of St. Patrick’s Parish in Stoneham, Nancy was a dedicated parishioner and a cherished member of the church choir. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as watching her favorite show, I Love Lucy and listening to the music of Engelbert Humperdinck. Above all, Nancy’s greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless love and pride.

Nancy is lovingly survived by her sister, Janet Garzone Kosidjak of Williamsburg, VA, and her devoted children: Mark J. Healey and his wife Ann of Winchester, MA; Peter Healey and his wife Mary of Wakefield, MA; Brian Healey and his wife Donnajean of Wakefield, MA; Michael Healey and his partner Manuel of California; John Romano and his wife Maureen of Stoneham, MA; and Cheryl Carroll and her husband Kevin of Bradford, MA.

She was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren: Michael Healey and his wife Shawna, Danielle Healey, Tyler Healey, Brandon Healey, Garret Healey, Evan Healey, Jack Healey, Jolene Romano, and Giana Romano. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Xander and Brooks. She is further survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply miss her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.

A Funeral Mass to honor and celebrate Nancy’s life will be held at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham, on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Salem, MA.
